No experience? Perfect.

We develop wrestlers as both athletes and students. Our goal is four-year wrestlers: athletes who build a strong work ethic and character, finish what they start, and come to love the sport. The season is a short two and a half months, and everyone wrestles at their own level and weight.

Girls wrestling

Girls wrestling is its own program, led by Head Coach Rich Trevino, with its own tournament schedule and its own CIF path: CIF-SS Girls Championships, Girls Masters, and the CIF State Championships.

FAQ

How much time does it take?

Practices are mandatory. Missing 7 or more practices can mean being cut. Thanksgiving and winter-break practices are mandatory for varsity. Clear any absence with your coach ahead of time. The full calendar is on GroupSpot.

What about grades?

The target GPA is 3.0. Grades are checked at weeks 6 and 12. No grades, no competition.

How is weight managed?

Wrestlers keep healthy weight goals: no excessive weight loss or gain.

What about skin infections?

Shower right after every practice, use a clean towel and clothes every day, wash gear every two weeks, never share towels or equipment, and get skin checks promptly.

How do I earn a letter?

More than 7 absences can disqualify a wrestler from earning a varsity letter.
